Our Platinum Group Metal Services business is looking for an experienced Compliance Engineer to join the team .
The purpose of the role is to Ensure that all plant and equipment across Royston site meets the relevant legislative and JM EHS policy requirements. Ensure all statutory inspections are identified and carried out effectively on time, and remedial actions managed and prioritised. Establish in house and 3 rd party arrangements to ensure engineering compliance is delivered. Implement programmes and action trackers to monitor engineering compliance and highlight areas of non-conformity and completion of remedial works all in line with COMAH requirements
Key responsibilities ?? Develop compliance plans by researching, analysing, selecting, and applying JM compliance engineering concepts and technics.
?? Organise compliance program by preparing timetables, cost estimates and required resource and equipment.
?? Determine compliance by establishing compliance test standards; conducting and witnessing tests; performing diagnostic procedures; analysing; troubleshooting failures and supervising sub-contractors.
?? Support inspections and remedial work on all plant and equipment including but not exclusively on the following_ asbestos, pressure systems, lifts and lifting equipment, legionella, gas, stacks, LEV, platforms and fire protection, primary containment, PUWER assessments, BA and to make sure they meet legislative requirements.
?? Attain compliance by isolating and resolving non-compliance issues; recommending product and process changes.
?? Documents compliance by recording test results; preparing corrective action trackers; recording action completion evidence and maintaining compliance database.
?? Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging compliance engineering practices and standards by participating in educational opportunities.
?? Oversee contractor quality to include handover witnessing, asset assurance and integration and incident investigation.

Are you the ideal candidate? You will have_
?? An engineering-based qualification to HND/HNC level or equivalent appropriate experience in a maintenance environment
?? Good knowledge of current legislation, statutory requirements and best practice
?? Experience in control of contractors, and familiar with preparation controls i.e. PTW, RAM's etc.
?? Competence in Microsoft Word, and Excel
?? Experience working with CMM systems would be preferred
