Business Intelligence Analyst

Bristol

Role Overview:

The purpose of this role is to support, inform and influence the development and delivery of my clients strategic plans with insightful data analysis from a broad range of sources. As business owner of my clients data warehouse, this role will be accountable for identifying and communicating trends which will support or impede the delivery of the growth agenda. It's key that you will be experienced in Datamodelling and data analytics. It will be beneficial to have some background in Financial Services.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Proven modelling and analytical capabilities, backed by qualifications in a related technical subject, allowing you to understand complex statistical, mathematical and financial concepts
  • Adept at sourcing data from various avenues, your commercial and strategic mindset enables you to pull together insight and modelling solutions to answer business questions and inform decisions
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify patterns and interpret data into translatable insights, making complex data analysis simple
  • Strong desire to take the initiative; self-motivated and thriving on change, you'll be comfortable with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication skills, influencing and working effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in a data analysis role for an organisation where data played a key role in decision making advantageous
  • Able to create reports and visualisations to be shared with stakeholders using modern tools such as Power BI
  • Complimentary skills on Extract Transform load (ETL), MS SQL Server, Azure Data Warehouse or general Azure Cloud knowledge would be useful, as would an appreciation of Agile principles and experience of working in an agile environment.
