HR Investigator - Interim

To conduct HR investigations in response to complex ER matters, following best practice and in line with the council policy.

To liaise with the Human Resources Advisor / Business Partner lead for complex ER matters to agree standards and approach to investigations at Thurrock.

To ensure investigations are effective, transparent, consistent and in line with policy, following a consistent approach and using the Councils templates and toolkits.

To identify best practice and expected HR investigation standards across the organisation

To ensure that investigations are conducted expeditiously and actively deliver professional HR investigation services to the organisation.

To present at formal hearings the evidence gathered in the course of an investigation.

To work closely with Advisory, to ensure the delivery of a customer-focused creative and comprehensive HR investigation service.

To produce comprehensive investigation reports, identifying areas for improvement and development.

To provide timely, professional and comprehensive advice on the interpretation and application of employment law and other relevant legislation

To ensure collaborative, positive relationships and maintained and developed with trade unions/professional associations.

Other tasks may be required to be undertaken from time to time commensurate with an investigator post.

Start date will be as and when as we are in the process of creating a pool of External Investigation Officers when the need arises.

Hours will vary on a case by case basis.

PAYE rate is: ??623.00 PER DAY (LTD)
