The HR Engagement Lead has the responsibility for the development and delivery of the change communications and engagement strategy and plan for a global HR transformation programme. They will also lead on the strategy and development of an upgraded employee self-service portal. You will develop creative communications collateral to engage our people in the changes being delivered by the programme and measure the impact, also schedule communications, ensuring messages are timely, appropriate and effective and of a high editorial quality.

This is a busy, hands-on role which requires proactivity, initiative and substantial organisational skills to manage numerous requests, projects and communication activities simultaneously.

Requires in-depth knowledge of change communication and engagement to determine the most effective way to engage colleagues in system, process and people change.

Understand effective user journeys to build a strategy and deliver a one-stop shop for all HR queries and requests.

Be able to identify and mitigate risks in communicating around complex people change.

You'll need a high level of professional writing and editing skills, creativity and adherence to the British Council's brand and tone of voice.

A good knowledge of change programme delivery across complex global organisations.

Develop the structure, approach and plan for internal communications for the HR transformation programme.

Identify and develop the communications collateral for the HR change programme. eg publications, videos, presentations, Intranet site.

Develop a strategy and deliver an upgraded self-service portal for all HR queries.

Create a user-friendly communications toolkit to support global teams to roll out changes.

Advise HR and regional organisation leadership on the most effective way to engage employees in the changes.

Measure the effectiveness of the change communications for the programme.

Identify and mitigate communication risks around HR change.

Co-ordinate and develop content for the internal programme communications, supporting the programme director and change lead.
