Bank Custody Nurse/Paramedic
CRG Medical Services are recruiting HCPs for Police Custody suites in Derbyshire. We are specifically looking for Registered Nurses and Paramedics to join our team of bank staff. Picking up ad-hoc shifts around other job and social commitments. The custody suites covered under this region include Derby and Chesterfield. We're aware this is a large geographical area and staff will live closer to one suite than another. But being flexible in picking up shifts in all of the custodties would be advantageous to the right candidate. Flexiblity in covering a range of day shifts and night shifts is also essential as the suites operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year. Payment options include PAYE or via Umbrella Company. PAYE Bank staff can accrue annual leave and will be offered an optional pension scheme. As a Health Care Professional working within CRG Medical Services, you will be joining an extensive team of clinicians. Our highly skilled Doctors and Health Care Professionals deliver care in secure health environments including custody suites and sexual assault referral centres across the country. We provide a 24 hour a day service, 365 days a year, within Police Custody suites, assessing and addressing detainee’s physical and mental health needs. The role includes : Assessment and treatment of detainee’s health needs Promoting drug rehabilitation therapies whilst in custody Healthcare promotion and self-harm reduction Mental health and substance misuse assessments Forensic sampling Joint working with partner agencies to promote positive outcomes to reduce re-offending Essential to the role: Registered General Nurse (RGN or dual trained RGN/RMN) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualifying relative experience Full membership of the HCPC or NMC Unplanned Care experience Ability to work autonomously and within a wider team Strong decision-making skills ILS & Venepuncture (desirable but training can be given for the right candidate) Have been continuously resident in the UK for at least 3 years, with no more than 3 months spent overseas at any one time.
