Technical Support Engineer required global software house in Milton Keynes to come in and work extensively on a product portfolio based solidly around networking, LAN, WAN and monitoring tools. The successful technical support engineer will play a pivotal part in the next stage of growth for the organisation supporting clients in EMEA, APAC and North America in bringing through new and emerging technology and products within cloud and SaaS solutions. You must be an outgoing person with outstanding customer facing skills and be able to hold your own on both a technical and non-technical level within the area of networking. You must also be able to answer yes to the below points… Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related area or demonstration of equivalent knowledge Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with networks, network monitoring, or similar technologies Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills Experience configuring network devices (routers and switches) Ability to quickly learn new technologies and to stay current with networking technologies including core, LAN, WAN, SDN, SD-WAN networks Experience with remote control solutions found in web-conferencing products Authoritative knowledge of Linux and familiarity with public cloud environments Firm understanding of network and application monitoring Superb salary and package on offer plus the opportunity of world travel to different client sites 10% of the year.
