Job Title: Head of Soft Services Location: Midlands Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent Package: Up to £80k salary bonus company car benefits Background Based in the Midlands, our client is an ambitious and expanding Facilities Management company which is seeking to appoint a Head of Soft Services to join their Senior Leadership team. Applications are invited from candidates with extensive Soft Services experience gained within relevant Senior positions within the FM sector. The portfolio of activities associated with this position currently generates £20m in annual turnover and the aim is to increase turnover significantly against agreed targets within the next 3-years. The portfolio includes an element of Security Services and therefore some experience in overseeing Security Services provision would be a distinct advantage. To be successful in this role the post-holder will need to have extensive experience in operating at a senior level within the commercial cleaning sector and have some experience of the management of the provision of Security Services. Reporting to the Managing Director, the post-holder will be a highly focused and diligent leader with a winning mentality. The overarching responsibility of the role is to drive business growth and effectively manage the service delivery of all elements of commercial cleaning and related services as well as security services to the standards of expertise and customer service that we maintain within our business. The Role In the course of carrying out this role the post holder will: Develop and deliver an annual operational plan and associated budget with the aim of achieving agreed targets and provide periodic management reports as required. Build and develop a strong operational and support team capable of delivering the business plan whilst maintaining exceptional standards of service. Lead and Manage the Soft Services & Security team and supply chain vendors ensuring all individuals are hitting targets and KPI's set by the Senior Management team. Maintain a positive culture and role model the company's core values. Manage the development and execution of all programs and services ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Accountable for overall Soft Services & Security operations ensuring that services delivered are in accordance with the Master Services Agreement (MSA) as well as company and client policies, procedures and standards. Act as a point of contact for the Client Facilities Management Delivery Lead & adopt accountability for the effective management of all escalated client complaints. Ensure that effective systems are in place to monitor contractors' performance ensuring that Service Level Agreements are met and KPI's are exceeded in line with agreed contractual requirements. Ensure that effective systems are in place to coordinate and manage insurance and service contract requirements and associated vendors. Liaise with the Sales team to develop a sales plan and to pitch for business development opportunities. Liaise with the Procurement team to develop specifications and scopes of work for estate vendors as required. Ensure that expenditure reports are produced for internal review and presentation to clients as necessary. Participate and effectively contribute within Group management meetings. Participate in projects and property management programmes when necessary. Ensure complete compliance with a robust and efficient Time & Attendance system. Ensure an Accurate Payroll based on a Pin & Pay philosophy. Ensure compliance with all HR policies & procedures. Ensure compliance with internal SHEQ policies & procedures and statutory requirements. The Candidate To be successful in this role the post holder will be able to demonstrate: A depth of experience within the commercial cleaning sector gained at the senior leadership level. Experience in overseeing Security Services provision would be a distinct advantage. Relevant Bachelor's degree and/or relevant professional certification. Ability to set and achieve targets via effective engagement with stakeholder groups. Strong and successful facilitation, negotiating and influencing skills. Highly developed and effective communication and presentation skills. Exceptional leadership and team building abilities. Strong communications skills. Ability to develop effective relations with key stakeholders including senior management, customers, staff teams and clients. Full UK driving license.
