SALARY & BENEFITS: £8.54 per hour plus NHS pension 
WORKING HOURS: Part Time (16.5 to 22hours per week over 3 or 4 shifts Monday to Friday 

THE COMPANY: Are you an organised Receptionist or Administrator and do you care about patients and want to help them get the right appointment with the right person? 

Our client is looking for a Medical Receptionist due to internal progression and expansion.

They are now looking to add another member to their existing great team and are looking for the right person to join us. 

Experience in a GP Practice is ideal, but flexibility, strong communication skills and being a friendly team-player with the ability to work well in a fast paced and busy environment are more important as training will be provided for the right candidate. 

THE ROLE: As a Medical Receptionist you will be an integral part of the practice and could be the first point of contact for patients looking to book appointments or general enquires, so you will have a professional and friendly demeanour. You will be a key part in providing administrative support in a variety of ways to support the day to day running of the Practice. Typical duties will vary in what can be a fast paced and reactive environment but you will mainly be handling incoming enquires via telephone, email and face to face, will be booking appointments and updating records, an ensuring welcome areas are presentable and tidy for patients and visitors. 

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Medical Receptionist role will ideally have previous experience in a GP practice or similar NHS setting but this is not essential as training can be provided. What is essential is that you are a well organised individual who has worked in a busy and fast paced environment, are someone who has a polite and clear telephone manner and are IT literate. In addition, candidates will need to be great team players who can build good working relationships and will need to be able to take a flexible approach to hours as will be required to work alternate mornings and then afternoons on a shared rota basis, a well as providing holiday cover. Candidates will also need to live within commutable distance to Leeds, West Yorkshire (LS19). 

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Medical Receptionist role in :-

Previous experience working in a busy and fast-paced environment desirable
Clear and polite telephone manner and call handling experience is desirable 
Will need to have good general IT skills
Will need to be a motivated team player 
Must live within commutable distance to Leeds (LS19)
Although not essential previous experience working in GP Surgery or similar NHS setting would be desirable
