The role: We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our team at one of our extremely popular and busy sites in Jesmond. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working within a busy and vibrant environment. Duties & Responsibilities : •Assist in the design and costing of menus for your outlet to maintain profit margin. •Ensures that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas at all times. •Work with Head Chef to implement controls to minimize food and supply waste and theft. •Implement recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation to assure consistency, quality and to minimize food costs. •Interacts with sous chef & Head Chef to assure that food production consistently exceeds the expectations of customers. •In conjunction with management team, assist in maintaining a high level of service principles in accordance with established standards •Evaluates products to assure that quality, price and related goods are consistently met. •Monitor packages and costs when ordering and on delivery. •Assist Head Chef and sous chef in the management of COSHH systems in allocated outlet •To co-operate with quality management and standards bodies (e.g. Government Departments, HSE etc.) Essential Requirements: •You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in this or a similar role •You should be a team player with strong communication and organisational skills •Have a genuine commitment and passion for food and quality service B enefits: •The successful applicant will receive competitive remuneration •They will also benefit from supported job development in a growing company, one of the North East’s leading leisure companies
