Visitor Services Supervisors
Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds are looking for two Visitor Services Supervisors, As a Visitor Services Supervisor you will have shared responsibility for a team of up to 24 Museum Assistants and a growing volunteer team. Ensuring that our team provides an exceptional service to all of our visitors. Leading by example you will work with the team to encourage commercial areas, donations and promote all that the museum has to offer.
You will also support our other teams by ensuring that public areas are always efficiently staffed and that the team is well trained, motivated and managed. Your role will require you to occasionally act as the Duty Manager. Weekend and bank holiday work is essential and some evening work is expected.
It is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills, will be passionate about delivering great customer service, relevant IT and literacy skills and understand workplace health and safety. In addition previous experience in supervising teams in customer facing or visitor focused roles and meeting commercial targets is required.
We are committed to recruiting an excellent Visitor Operations management team that is collaborative and is supported in their role. At a minimum you will work four days each week including one weekend day. This will be discussed further should you be invited to an interview.
POST 1: This post is full time working up to 36 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 based at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds. Evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working may be required.
POST 2: This is a weekend position. Working 15 hours per week. Some weekday, bank holiday and evening working will be required from time to time for training and development and to support special events and provide operational cover.
