Are you looking to pass on your skills and knowledge?

Our client is well established and offer teaching facilities to young people aged 14-19 to obtain BTEC qualifications in construction. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Woodwork / Joinery Tutor to join the team in Liverpool on a full time, permanent basis.

As a Woodwork / Joinery Tutor you will be teaching pupils about construction, particularly focusing on the woodwork & joinery side of the industry. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Attend morning meetings with the Centre Manager to organise the day ahead
• Teach 4 lessons between the hours of 9:30am and 3pm
• To ensure workbooks are completed by pupils
• To mark work and ensure feedback is provided to the pupils suggesting any improvements they can make

The Candidate: To be considered for the role of Woodwork / Joinery Tutor you must have a professional attitude and approach. You will have a passion for working with young people and be enthusiastic and an excellent communicator. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Liverpool.

Essential Candidate Criteria:

• Some experience of teaching or coaching young people would be advantageous 
• A minimum of 2 years' experience within woodwork / joinery
• You will have to undertake a DBS check
• An NVQ level 2 or above is advantageous
