Affinity Water, it starts and ends with our name and flows through everything we do.

Every day we supply millions of litres of safe, high quality drinking water to our customers. We are the largest water-only supplier in the UK, with a vision to become the leading community focused water company. We only recruit the best, and we are committed to helping you achieve your career goals and becoming even better than you are today.

Times are changing here at Affinity Water. We are embarking on a new chapter in which we are looking to modernise our Company to ensure we are as effective and efficient as possible to help us meet our new stretching targets. There couldn't be a more exciting time to join us!

As we enter this period of change, the Audit, Risk & Compliance team will be essential in helping us hit our demanding targets by holding us to account on how we manage our risks. Without doubt, there are challenging times ahead. We want to find people who will embrace this challenge and help shape the future of this Company. Who wouldn't want to be a part of this?!

Your next role???

As an Internal Auditor, your role will be to work with a range of stakeholders to understand the risks to the business, identify appropriate controls for these risks and to provide recommendations for Company-wide improvements. You will also be actively involved in various Internal Audit initiatives, both short and long-term, which will be essential in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of departmental processes.

Report writing will be a key part of your role as you assist the Head of Audit, Risk and Compliance with the production of reports and papers which are critical for meetings of the Executive Management Team, Audit Committee and Board. On top of this, you will be liaising with stakeholders across the business to monitor timely completion of actions to address recommendations arising from audit assignments.

You will be joining a small, tightly-knit team and have all the support you need to be successful.

Got what it takes to succeed?

Here at Affinity Water, we attract and nurture the top talent. It's the pride we take in our delivery and performance. In order to excel in this role, it is vital you have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. You will also have an acute eye for detail whilst being a naturally curious and analytical person. Being literate and confident on Excel, Word and PowerPoint will also be important in this role.

Demonstrable audit experience is required. It would be desirable if this experience was within the water industry but not essential as in-depth training will be provided. Your ability to challenge the 'norm' in a constructive and helpful manner will be just as crucial in succeeding within the role.
