Graduate Opp: Live-In PA/Carer for University Maths Student - Manchester
About our Client
Our client is a first-year student, studying for a maths degree at University of Manchester. He has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. His interests include being a fan of Manchester City FC and enjoys watching them live and on TV. In addition, the client enjoys going out and socialising, whether that be pubs and clubs, cinema, going for meals or other general out and about activities. Additionally, the client has a passion for music of all taste, movies such as star wars and the godfather and tv shows such as suits and peaky blinders.
With a joyful and delightful persona, as well as a good sense of humour, our client enjoys going out to socialise and meet up with friends and family. Last but not least, our client enjoys spending time with his pet dogs.
About the Job

You will provide our client's academic support and health and social care. This is also a "flat mate" type of role which goes far beyond simply care work, and includes all the fun things you'd expect a first-year university student to be doing, like getting out and about to see friends, going to parties, the cinema, going on holiday and much more!
Weekly live-in rota: 7 days on and 7 days off or similar arrangement.
Live-in PA's use the flexible working arrangements that come with the week on/week off set up, to travel abroad or visit friends throughout the year. The combination of this, with the knowledge that they are having a positive, daily impact on someone's life, and the relaxed, inclusive working environment makes this a unique and exciting opportunity.
Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.
Free accommodation in halls is provided when you are on shift.
You must hold a full clean UK driving licence as you will be driving our client's adapted car.
Start Date:September 2019.
Pay & Benefits
Live In - ??100 per day / ??700 per week
1 week on 1 week off
Free accommodation when on shift.
5.6 week's holiday pro rata.
About You
You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client's care therefore full training in his particular needs is provided.
You will need: -
??To be physically fit, calm, patient and caring
??Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
??To have a good sense of humour
??A mature and responsible attitude
??Good communication skills
??To be fluent in English.
??To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways.
??To be a non-smoker
??A full clean UK driving licence
