Our Nursing Agency provides temporary Mental health support workers to care providers such as; Residential group settings mental health facilities and hospitals. Casgo Connections are recruiting Mental health support workers to become part of the fastest growing agency in the South East of England. We are currently recruiting from our Southampton office and are covering Hampshire and Berkshire areas. Please note that if you are quite far away from our office it is possible to register via Skype and then email the relevant documentation. You would not be required to come to the the Southampton area unless you had PMVA training for example. The area that we are needing Support Worker for is Hook RG27. The nature of the work at this particular care facility is; learning disability rehabilitation. We believe that commitment and hard work should be rewarded, therefore we offer excellent rates of pay (£10-£16 per hour). We urgently require new and experienced Mental Health Support Workers in the Southampton and wider Hampshire area. Here is a bit more information about this role that would be useful if you are new to this Mental health is a very varied area for a support worker to work in. You could be working with individuals who have a drug or addiction problem, depression, or dementia. Support workers in this area are sometimes called STR workers, which stands for “Support, Time and Recovery Worker”.The emphasis is on providing support to the individual, giving them time and in so doing, aiding their recovery. Your work could include arranging peer support groups for people with a particular issue, or working alongside a psychiatrist, social worker or community mental health team in managing a caseload of individuals with a range of mental health problems. Your role as a Mental Health Support Worker will be to promote independent living, give regular and practical support and assist the service user to gain access to resources they might otherwise be unaware of. This could be through a community mental health team, early intervention service or day care centre. There are STR or support workers based in all these locations. It’s important that you have a genuinely caring nature, and the willingness to help the individual overcome their problems, as well as the ability to prioritize your workload.It’s common that an individual will be under the care of a multi-disciplinary team, so your ability to pass information effectively between other team members is essential. We can offer flexible hours that suit your lifestyle; Days, nights and Weekend Work. The role will involve travelling to various locations by car or public transport. 6 months experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. Fantastic Rates of Pay. Successful applicants for the post of; Mental Health Support Worker will need to confirm whether that can attend our next P-MVA (prevention and management of violence and aggression) training. this takes place over two full days at a venue in Southampton Central.
