A rare and unique opportunity has arisen for a Children & Young People’s Manager within The Roberts Centre. The Roberts Centre is a local charity that enjoys an enviable reputation for its work with families, children and young people and has achieved national recognition for its high-quality services.

Job Title: Service Manager - Children & Young People
Hours: 39 (Tuesday – Saturday. NB at least once a month hours can be changed to allow for a Saturday off)
Location: Crasswell Street, Portsmouth
Salary: £29,317 (rising to £30,069 after the first year of service)

We are looking to recruit someone who is highly motivated and skilled in children and young people’s services.

As The Children & Young People’s Manager, you will manage two of our flag ship projects: Child Contact Services and The Boost Pathway.

You will have a ‘can do’ attitude, share our values and have the passion to help us to improve the lives of Children and Families.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience of managing highly skilled staff teams and be qualified to degree level.

The Services

Child Contact Service, are provided Wednesday – Saturday with some handovers on Mondays. This service provides children with a safe and enjoyable space to spend quality time with their non-resident parent or family member.

BOOST Pathway, provides life skills training and on-going support to young people leaving care until they are 25 years old. It also provides up to 10 units of supported housing and 2 training flats and is also supported by a highly experienced team leader.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by The Roberts Centre.
