JOB TITLE: Customer Service Representative

SALARY & BENEFITS: £12,385 per annum plus excellent benefits package
WORKING HOURS: 0900-1700 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, Thursday– Off – Total-29 hours per week. With the occasional Saturday Morning, to meet business needs

THE COMPANY: JPIMedia are a leading media company within the UK, with brands including The I, The Scotsman, Yorkshire Post, Sheffield Star, and Portsmouth News. Our digital audience is nationwide and we reach over 24m users a month across mobile, desktop and tablet.

THE ROLE: The Customer Service Representative will be working within our Contact Centre based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Our aim is to continually offer the best possible service to our customers. The role is varied due to the range of services we offer. We currently deal with direct delivery, postal subscriptions, Photo Sales, Digital Queries and Retailers. We also provide support to other teams across the business.

As part of our team you will be responsible for answering customer queries in a timely and efficient manner, providing a friendly effective service, whilst ensuring accuracy and GDPR compliance. You will take calls from both new and existing customers, solving problems, and retaining readers. Part of your role will also involve making outbound customer service calls to existing customers regarding their subscription or order.

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal Customer Service Representative with have had previous experience in a customer focused environment. You will be an effective team player, but will be confident at working alone. You will have excellent communication skills with a friendly and helpful telephone manner.

Previous customer service / customer support experience
Proficient IT skills
GCSE Level C or equivalent in Maths and English
Confident telephone manner
