Wakefield Hospice is embarking on another exciting chapter in its development, recognising the changing environment in healthcare and the many challenges ahead in our 30th Anniversary year.
The hospice has been very fortunate to have benefitted from robust, forward-thinking leadership and is currently seeking new trustees to join the well-established Board.
Those successfully appointed will be actively involved in governance and decision-making, and in setting the strategic direction of the hospice: they should be able to demonstrate empathy with the philosophy of compassion, professionalism and aspiration which is fundamental to the services provided.
The Board is supported by a skilled and enthusiastic senior leadership team who are committed to making a positive difference to those in the hospice and in the wider community who are approaching end of life.
We are particularly looking for candidates with skills and experience in business, health and social care, marketing, or construction/estate.
It is important to be aware these are voluntary, non-remunerated roles.
