Our client is a respected and long-established electronics manufacturing services partner specialising in end-to-end procurement, manufacture, and supply chain solutions, employing over 450 personnel across the group and with a turnover in excess of ??50m and rising. An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Group Head of Logistics to be based at Lutterworth, with an excellent salary and company vehicle as part of the generous package on offer.

Our client builds the electronic hearts and brains' for complex machines supplied all around the world. Their customers are at the top of their game and the products they design and sell keep the world moving - quite literally in some cases. So, any delay, shortage or damaged piece of material has the potential to stop the production lines and they can't afford for that to happen. This is where you can help.

Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, the Group Head of Logistics has accountability for order and supply fulfilment, ensuring the consistent delivery of materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods to manufacturing sites and JJS customers.

You will design and implement group logistics strategies, oversee procedure and process design and be responsible for ongoing logistics operations. You will facilitate an environment for the identification of best practices for execution and you will own and lead continuous improvement activities.

You will manage freight and associated export/import compliance requirements while minimising costs and managing inventory levels. You will be accountable for logistics compliance management. You will monitor, report and analyse market/industry trends and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve best in market outcomes.

Alongside the technical requirements of this role it is essential that you demonstrate a high level of leadership with a collaborative approach and the interpersonal skills to get results through others. Ability to build a cross-site team, ensuring communication is constantly delivered to all stakeholders and team members.

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related fields, or QBE
  • Significant experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of legislation, policy governing supply fulfilment globally
