1st Line Support Engineer

My client is an award winning Telecoms/ISP provider based in Warrington who are looking to hire multiple 1st line Support Engineers to join their growing team.

The main responsibility for the UC Engineer is to provide excellent technical support for a host of VoIP and fixed connectivity products and services to a varied customer base.

The ideal candidate must have at least 12 months experience in a UC Support/helpdesk environment and ideally have a degree in IT based subject.

Role Responsibilities/Experience:

  • Remotely identify customer system issues and perform 1st support within the agreed SLA or escalation
  • Resolve full range of technical issues including connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/Wireless)
  • Have a strong knowledge of Windows and Linux
  • Experience in Unified comms and VOIP/PBX technologies
  • Configure and troubleshoot network protocols and equipment (Routers, Switches, Firewalls etc)
  • Have previous experience of any of the following products: Cisco, Polycom, Linux, Yealink, Draytek or Juniper

The role is currently a mix of home based working with 2/3 days a week being based in the offices in Warrington. There is also an OOH remote on call rota which is paid at an additional rate to the base salary.
