The responsibilities include

  • End to end ownership of the deliverables as agreed with the customer
  • Manage various stake holders within client teams, external energy utility industry participants and HCL internal teams
  • Program manage the deliverables considering the dependencies and work with the team to manage risks and mitigate
  • Estimate the work volume and propose increase/decrease of the effort. Resize the team according to the effort required.
  • Implement and monitor various compliance requirements in terms of maintaining a test lab which has large number of smart meters. The compliance includes SHE, electrical, IT security etc
  • Manage a team of technical experts and align the deliverables
  • Understand the contractual terms and make sure to adhere to the terms
  • P&L management with an eye for increase in profitability by innovative ways of managing the project
  • Adhering to SLAs and KPIs agreed with the customer

Key Skills

  • Good program management skills with PMP certification
  • Having worked in a complex environment involving multiple stake holders
  • Understanding of smart metering implementation in UK
  • Understanding of SMETS1/SMETS2 standards
  • Basic knowhow of ZigBee and other smart metering access protocols
  • Understanding of various GSME, ESME and IHD devices
  • Good people management skills and demonstrated expertise of managing people from different cultural background
  • Basic understanding of rules and regulations of health and safety in GB
  • Experience of working in a test lab environment and understanding of the test process
  • High level understanding of test automation and application development
