Hays are working exclusively with EDM Group in Wolverhampton who are expanding their technology team following recent growth and investment. EDM are a multi-award-winning international provider of IT management and digital transformation services working their customers to manage their documents, data and processes.

EDM offer services such as Digital Mailroom and end-to-end processes to receive, capture, store, process and handle critical information more efficiently. This recruitment is part of their 3-year strategic plan and will see several permanent hires join their IT Department.

Your new role

The Senior Application Support Analyst will be responsible for ensuring resolutions are carried out to highest standard within a timely manner. You will be providing technical knowledge to ensure resolution of incidents and undertake root cause analysis to identify any improvements for the application while ensuring excellent service delivery and adhering to IT best practice (including ITIL).

Cultivating relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure seamless cross business communications. You will also be responsible for responding to problems that occur quickly and would need immediate attention. You will be a point of escalation and in charge of working with a team of developers to iron out any problems with applications.

The ideal candidate

It is important that you come from an Application Support background as we are looking for someone that will take ownership for every individual case and have go down every avenue before escalation is necessary. You will need experience with MS SQL Servers, database knowledge and experience with Mulesoft would be desirable. Management exposure and experience within the financial sector would put your application at an advantage.

It is important that you are responsible for solving all issues that you have been in charge, we are looking for someone that is keen to learn and take on responsibilities. You will be an integral part of the infrastructure team so need to be forward thinking and innovative in your approach to every solution.
