The role is responsible for supporting a large-scale supply chain management transformation, specifically focused towards assessing the technical viability and implementation of a Resource Management solution.

The candidate will be considered the authority on the systems architecture and solution design performing the lead technical role. They will act as the technical advisor for the project providing insight, expertise and direction, with a business outcome led focus to ensure the project benefits are achieved.

The role will engage with IT leaders and business stakeholders to understand the overall business strategies, plans, needs and objectives to ensure the technical solution is compatible with the existing IT infrastructure landscape.


Ideally the candidate will have prior experience of implementing Resource Management (RM) systems.

Ability to review existing RM processes and provide recommendations to operational teams to ensure appropriate processes are implemented.

Provide technical input and review into the RFI/RFP process, with a view to reviewing the technical viability of the implementation.

Ability to contribute to the technical, functional and non-functional requirements of any proposed solution. The role will be expected to influence the scope and approach of projects and assist other ITS functions in the delivery of successful outcomes.

Through the life cycle of project, you will support early stage concept definition and be responsible for gathering functional requirements and creating high-level technical designs through to providing support during the build phase as appropriate.

Supports Business Analysts into the development of business requirements, providing advice and expertise on good IT practice to business stakeholders during the development of concepts, demand and designs.

Develop both the high level and low level architecture designs for the solution, including integrations and data flows. Taking ownership of the project technology standards and providing technical assurance and compliance with the required corporate policies and governance.

The architect will understand the gap between current capabilities and the future state requirements. They will provide guidance on IT priorities and identify actionable deliverables to address the biggest capability gaps and barriers to meeting the business demand.

They will be expected to analyse the benefits and risks associated with proposed solutions.

The role will work with other members of the Architecture function to ensure dependencies are understood and considered in decisions and strategy, creating a complete and appropriate architecture landscape.
