(Software Development Vertical Market Focus)

I'm delighted to say that we are looking to expand the Software Development Recruitment Team here at Onezeero and on the hunt for another honest, competitive and outgoing recruiter to join our successful team in the City.

The team?

The development team is 5 strong, we are stable, helpful, collaborative, fun, quirky, talented and importantly, very successful.

We like to try new things; some work and some don't, but we're always looking at different ways to win business rather than sending another spec CV.

We have a long-term approach to targeting clients, with an emphasis on relationship building and repeat business.

We are genuine 360 recruiters, so whilst we have a strong clients list and yes you will get passed roles, you are expected to pull jobs and bring new clients on board, so you must be able to get on the phone, speak to clients and win new business.

When everyone does that and contributes, the whole team wins.

We are a proper team, we all get along and we celebrate each other's successes together and pick each other up when you've had a bad day - probably over a pint.

Are we any good?

YES! We have had three promotions this year (decent from a team of 5!) and we are proper vertical market specialists. At the moment, we cover .NET C#, Front End Javascript, Python, PHP and Java or whatever else comes up that I know we can fill whilst we look to grow the team.

Are we sharky?

NO, NO, and NO! We share clients, we share information, we go on meetings together, we play each other in whenever and wherever we can. We also work on splits for passed roles, so everyone wins. Anyone found trying to "stitch up" a colleague up won't be around for long.

What's the Management style?

We treat people as adult, treating them as an individual and giving them the responsibility and space to be themselves rather than constantly talk about phone time and dial outs.

Don't get me wrong, we will reference the KPIs where necessary and we do work to a framework, but our aim is to help you become a better, more rounded and skilled recruiter, rather than force you to make more dial outs.

We'll give you the autonomy to build your own desk and to come up with new ideas both and individually and collectively.

The "culture" of onezeero?

Yes we have a dog, yes we have a pool table, yes we have a drinks fridge, yes we run daily, weekly, monthly, yearly incentives with lunch clubs and trips to Miami, Barbados, Ibiza, New York etc and yes we have an annual fully paid for black tie conference.

But, the most important things is the we are collaborative, friendly and relaxed but competitive and driven.

I would say we have a nice blend of experiences which underpins the business and gives us the ability to deal with any situation, tender and win retainers, pitch exclusivity, train and develop staff and deal with any situation that comes up.

Dress code is casual, we just expect you to be presentable enough should you need to go on a client meeting.

You could describe it like an "grown-up start-up".

Salary & Targets?

Every person has their own individual monthly and yearly target based on some very simple criteria that makes it fair and completely transparent.

You hit your rolling 6 month individual target you get a salary rise and/or promotion.

You hit your new target, you get another salary rise and/or another promotion. It is possible to get two pay rises and two promotions within 12 months.

It's simple and the same calculation process for everyone across the floor.

Commission?

Margin Linked Commission: if you agree client terms at 20% you will get paid at 20%. For example, a ??70,000 role is a ??14,000 fee at 20%, so you earn 20% of ??14,000 which is ??2,800 straight into your pocket!

Negotiate higher fees, it's well worth it!

NO THRESHOLD. You start, you do a deal, you earn straight away.

So, what are we looking for?

A recruitment consultant with a demonstrable track record of success within development. Any language will be considered, and we are open to new verticals, although PHP, .NET or Python would be fantastic.

Any level of experience is applicable as long you have a billing track record in software development AND as long as you are a team player, have the motivation to succeed, are open to learning and trying new things and enjoy a fun competitive environment.
