Specialist Advisor: Sustainable Water (Water & Brexit)

As a Specialist Advisor: Sustainable Water (Water & Brexit) you would join a team responsible for providing specialist lead/support on integrated water planning. The focus for this role is on the water aspects of the EU Exit, working closely with and supporting the Lead Specialist Advisor: Water Quality and Brexit. You will contribute to NRW's EU Response Programme, supporting our understanding and management of risks, impacts and opportunities for NRW from the EU Exit in the short, medium and long-term.

The role will also support on the wider work of the team including River Basin Management Planning, giving water policy advice and/or water company planning. The post holder will work with colleagues from other teams in the Evidence Policy and Permitting and Operations Directorates, Welsh Government and sector representatives. Qualifications and Skills

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline or have a proven track record in water policy area

• An in-depth understanding of the relevant legislation and how it relates to water policy

• Experience of assessing and interpreting complex water quality data

• Project management experience

• Strong customer focussed approach to giving policy advice

• Experience of software packages such as excel and PowerPoint
