Year 7 Intervention Teacher of Mathematics & English
YEAR 7 INTERVENTION TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS & ENGLISH
Contract: 0.5 FTE from December 2020 until 31 August 2021
We are looking for a teacher who has knowledge of the Year 6 Maths and English curriculum to support those students who would ordinarily be part of our Year 7 Catch Up cohort. The successful applicant will be able to use their knowledge and expertise to help address any gaps in the students’ learning in English and Maths with a focus on the gaps that may have occurred in Key Stage 2. This post would be suitable for an NQT or more experienced colleague.
The successful candidate will:
- be able to enthuse, motivate and inspire students
- have experience of Year 6 Maths and English teaching and knowledge of Year 7 Maths and English curriculum
- be an excellent classroom teacher with outstanding classroom management
- be appropriately qualified with a relevant degree and QTS (primary or secondary)
- be committed to continuous professional development
