SC Cleared - Service Manager (Inside IR35)

Job description

We are currently searching for experienced Service Managers that we are recruiting on behalf of NHS Digital based in Leeds.

As Service Manager, you will:

  • Manage aspects of the service life cycle including transition, operation and retirement, adhering to the DSC Service Strategy.
  • Oversee and drive the strategic, tactical and operational planning and delivery of service(s) and integration with NHS Digital's portfolio.
  • Ensure the delivery of services against the agreed Service Levels and oversee remedial activities.
  • Ensure supporting capabilities, resources and enabling processes are in place to support service delivery and meet forecasted demand.
  • Manage individuals and teams, and associated professional development.
  • Manage customer and stakeholder expectations, ensure sufficient service support.
  • Oversee stakeholder engagement activities to drive service uptake.
  • Communicate highly complex technical issues and sensitive information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Conduct formal service reviews through monitoring service and supplier performance, own and co-ordinate resolution of problems and incidents.
  • Identify, own, manage and control service improvement, risks and issues as well as contingency plans and innovative opportunities.
  • Own financial management of the service, including budget and forecast.
  • Identify, capture and maintain knowledge assets.

You'll have:

  • Valid and active SC clearance
  • A master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • ITIL Practitioner, VeriSM Foundation or equivalent experience.
  • Specialist knowledge of service management tools.
  • Proven experience of ITIL service management processes, planning and implementation.
  • Knowledge of either a Service Management standard (such as ISO20000) or Information Security standard (such as ISO 27001).
  • Broad understanding of Cyber Security.
