Young Fathers’ and Supervised Contact Practitioner

Would you like to offer a service to young fathers, who are often marginalised, misunderstood and lack a ‘voice’?Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and learn new ones in order to make a difference to the lives of young fathers and their children?

St Michael's Fellowship is looking for a motivated individual to join them principally as a Young Fathers’ Practitioner.

What does the role involve?

  • To support young fathers aged 21 years and under to access mainstream services, particularly those which support the health and development of their children
  • To address issues of domestic abuse and work to prevent further incidents
  • To attend child protection conferences, planning meetings, core group meetings, reviews, working agreement meetings etc as necessary
  • To co-facilitate a new programme Being a Dad
