Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting a Commercial Business Partner for a well known and reputable business in Hull. As a result of a recent restructure, this key role is vital for the business in order to form a positive and cohesive link between the finance department, management accounting information and commercial operations.

The purpose of this role is to be responsible for all commercially focused financial and performance information for all aspects of the business, as well as actively contributing to the formulation of the annual budget and monthly rolling forecasts. The successful candidate will also provide financial support to non-financial management across the wider business, especially with regards to cost reduction or development projects.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

*Responsible for collation of the month end P&L and supporting analysis/commentary including detailed analytics on manufacturing variances provided by the operations finance team
* Perform regular checks on new product costings once they are in full production and review with management team, this includes a full material overspend to target variance calculation
* Attend meetings to discuss production planning this includes any issues that may be faced in relation to lock off
* Business Partnering with Directors on all commercial matters
* Oversee Product VAT pricing, ensuring VAT Compliance
* Carry out process validation checks
* Responsible for Sales & Margin analysis on a weekly and monthly basis to be fed into the Monthly P&L
* Quote and invoice analysis; checks on Margins/ Selling Price/ Discounts/ Payment Terms/ Sales commission schemes
* Feed the commercials into the Monthly Board Report, including insights and analysis as and when needed for the Monthly Management Accounts
* Sales & Margin monthly close
* Support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, working with the operations finance team & other internal stakeholders
* Responsible for ensuring accurate data is in the ERP System & other core systems in relation to Sales, Discount & Margin information
* Development of both financial and non-financial procedures and processes to aid the controls within the business
* Project Support

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

* A qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Strong communication skills
* Analytical thinker
* Ability to engage non-financial stakeholders
* Diligent, resourceful and purposeful
* Ability to interpret data
* Not afraid to question and challenge current practices
* Good problem solving and analytical abilities
* High level of IT & Systems Skills (especially Excel & PowerPoint)
* Possess high levels of commercial awareness
* Ability to work with cross functionally across the organisation
* Previous experience of working in a medium / large Manufacturing / Commercial Company would be ideal
* Attention to detail
* Ability to be able to work to tight deadlines
* Ability to self-manage and be proactive
