Our client, based in East Kilbride, makes, sells and distributes some of the world's best loved non-alcoholic, ready-made beverages to over 300million customers across 13 countries; the site in East Kilbride produces 18million cases of drinks per year!

Our client is looking for an experienced Operator Technician to start as soon as possible.

Purpose of the role:

Operate Process machinery and equipment and complete preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure Process achieves the Syrup output required within quality and yield targets to met shift Syrup Production Plans

Your responsibilities will include;

Drive Efficiency and Effectiveness

Syrup Manufacturing

Be capable of operating all equipment in Process for syrup manufacturing
Fault-finding to fix commonly occurring faults or problem solve machine/equipment performance issues or escalate to a Technician until fixed to ensure minimal impact on equipment availability and syrup production Advanced Maintenance Execution

Maintain good standards of housekeeping to ensure own work area is clean and tidy
Complete CIP's and other asset care for equipment within work area to the standard outlined in the Maintenance Execution Plan (incl internal equipment asset care)

Team flexibility

Provide training and coaching to other team members to improve their Syrup manufacture and equipment maintenance performance
Provide daily break cover for other team members
Perform other tasks as required by the Team Leader to ensure team performance and syrup output is achieved
Conduct effective machine handovers at the shift start including all necessary operational, safety, and quality issues
Attend and support the delivery of pre-shift team briefing sessions to ensure communication and feedback of key operational and site information

Continuous Improvement

Share Best Practice with other team members and colleagues to improve Yield, Quality, Safety and Environment
Actively use line monitoring systems in order to review performance and escalate issues/non conformances

Qualification;

Maths and English passed at School leaving Certificate level (GCSE in UK)
Technically trained (mechanical/electrical/Laboratory skills to nationally recognised level or proven machine operational skills)

Experience required;

Previous experience of working within a FMCG environment is desirable - Will probably have 2 yr + experience as an Operator
Machine operation for all equipment in process area and/or lab experience
Asset care techniques - able to follow technical manuals/OEM instructions
Pc literacy to use line information systems

Pay rate; GBP14.24 per hour for the first 12 weeks then it increases to GBP17.80

Shifts hours vary; 06h00 - 18h00 then rotates to 18h00 - 06h00 (Continental shift pattern of 4 on and 4 off)
