Project Manager (IT Infrastructure)
Start Date: ASAP
The client, a global FMCG organisation, are looking to expand their IT project delivery function, by adding two experienced Project Managers to their team in Bellshill.
As the successful applicant, you will have extensive experience managing both Infrastructure and Business focused projects, utilising a range of delivery techniques - Prince2, Agile, Waterfall - and ideally have over seven years of experience in a similar role. FMCG or Manufacturing experience would be a bonus, but if not, varied sector experience would also be great. This role would not suit someone who has been in a very process driven organisation for a long time.
Some upcoming projects are:
- Intranet deployment
- Network refresh
- Server upgrade
- Oracle upgrade
- ERP upgrade
- Migration to Azure
You will be equally as comfortable leading technical teams, as you are running workshops for non-technical business stakeholders. You will have strong vendor and supplier management experience, and capable of juggling multiple concurrent projects at once.
Previous successful candidates have been able to demonstrate a firm understanding of business process, often holding business, or accountancy degrees.
This is a very autonomous role, there will be very little leadership, and no hand-holding, you need to be able to hit the ground running, evaluate the current project pipeline, create relationships with various business stream leaders, and deliver ASAP.
Budgets for these projects are generally sub-??1M, but you will have many on the go at once.
The client requires an adaptable individual who is happy to manage themselves.
Finally any experience in implementing a PMO function would be highly beneficial.
The client are a global success story, and industry leader in their field. As the successful candidate, you can expect extensive investment in your career and training, a dedicated on-boarding and career development plan, bonus of up to 10%, fantastic staff allowances, double matched pension, free parking, subsidised canteen, early finish on Fridays, and longer term there will also be an element of flexi-working/work from home.
