BI Developer/BI Engineer/Data Engineer - Permanent Job - Southampton

We are currently recruiting for a large Public Service organisation based in Southampton who are looking to move away from their current ERP and implement Dynamics 365 and are therefore looking to recruit a BI Developer/Engineer on a permanent basis. The organisation are heavily investing in their Technology to ensure they are at the cutting edge of the respective field and are looking for talented people to join team. Their mission is to work across the business to provide customer centric design and technology services.
Your new role
The organisation are currently undertaking an ambitious project to move from their current ERP system to Microsoft D365. As part of this, they are fulfilling a wide range of reporting requirements with a variety of reporting tools, including native reporting tools within D365 and PowerBI reports, running within an Azure-based data warehouse. This project has also identified other data sources within the business that are out of scope for this project, but which will form part of a corporate reporting platform. The role will focus on building reporting solutions either within the Azure-based data warehouse, or within D365 itself.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of iterative and incremental development, able to support and operate the services you build and the ability to identify issues in production.
You will be able to reference your experience creating reports, dashboards and visualisations, working with business users and collaborating with teams across the organisation to create appropriate solutions.
You'll have a strong background in delivering reporting solutions using a range of tools including PowerBI and native D365 tools. Be experienced using Azure packages such as SQL Server, Analysis Services, Data Factory and Data Lake, as well as ideally also having experience of ARM templates, T-SQL, Azure DevOps and Azure Logic Apps.
Any experience with Experience of T-SQL, DAX, M and/or Powershell, native D365 reporting tools (Financial Reporter, Embedded Analytics, Business Documents etc), would also be desirable. This is a fun, friendly team who work hard and are passionate about what they do.

The team are currently working remotely and longer term flexible and remote working will form part of your role, however due to some project and office meetings (when restrictions allow), the organisation are looking for candidates who live a commutable distance from Southampton.
Salary up to ??42.840, performance related bonus, a competitive pension scheme, 37 hour working week (with flexible working options), free parking on site, 25 days annual leave - (30 days after five years) plus bank holidays and an extra 3 over Christmas, plus, a suite of excellent additional benefits.
