Your new company
I've been engaged by a specialist software provider to recruit a DevOps Engineer to work from their modern head office location in Bournemouth, or to work remotely. It's a really unique opportunity working for an organisation where projects can have a genuine impact on people's quality of life.
Your new role
The scope of the role is wide, there's ongoing internal projects and a chance to work with external clients, some of the biggest names in their. This role will support the 3 core development teams, building automated deployments, setting up cloud services (migrations from on-prem) and configuring CI/CD pipelines.
You'll be working in a small but hugely talented team and will naturally be involved in the entire life cycle of projects for a company that runs R&D on site and builds products which have a real impact. You'll work with the latest technologies to deliver the right outcome and it's a genuine opportunity to fast-track your career.
What you'll need to succeed
This role would suit someone with a grasp of modern DevOps concepts. You must have Linux SysAdmin experience and will have worked with Cloud technologies (either GCP/Amazon AWS/MS Azure).
They offer the opportunity to work with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines, so commercial experience with some of these will be important to your success.
It's an Agile team that encourages collaboration and sharing knowledge on site. Wider knowledge of Scripting languages or infrastructure/networking will serve you well.
What you'll get in return
The company offers great flexibility across the board and there is no micromanagement here. We want someone invested in the cause and who is interested in seeing their efforts have a genuine effect on the organisation. They are a very supportive employer and will fund courses, qualifications and conferences to improve your skill set.
