JOB TITLE: Team Supervisor (Care, day centre)

SALARY & BENEFITS: £17,979 per annum (pro rata), onsite parking, training available, personal development, opportunity for development.

WORKING HOURS: 22.5 hours over 3 days – flexibility required.

THE COMPANY: We are delighted to be working with the largest voluntary sector provider of Social Care in South Staffordshire. The charity provides dementia care, care at home services, information and advice services and operates a day centre opportunities service.

We are seeking a self-motivated, passionate and enthusiastic individual to supervise the Day Centre. This service provides an opportunity for service users with dementia and complex needs to attend a centre that will run occupation simulation, monitor the health needs of each service user and provide respite for carers through the provision of tailored activities.

THE ROLE: We are seeking a Team Supervisor to support the management of the Day Services under the guidance of the Day Services Manager. You will work as port of a small team providing and maintaining high standards of care, fostering an atmosphere whereby older people with Dementia and other complex needs will be encouraged to maintain and further develop their independence as fully as possible.

Key Responsibilities to include:- Team Supervisor (Lichfield)
  • Responsible for supervising a small team who operate the Day Centre services.
  • Writing out a schedule for the day of activities with the individual needs of the attendees in mind.
  • Setting up a room and activities for the day, and Managing the staff, as well as the day to day running of the service.
  • Occasionally carrying out home assessments on service users who will be in attendance to assess their needs.

THE CANDIDATE: We are seeking a self-motivated, confident and enthusiastic individual with a real passion for helping others, and in particular older people. Ideally you will have experience in a role where you have provided care, or have experience in an area that is relatable.

Ideally you will have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care or equivalent, with some supervisory or management experience – however full training will be provided.

  • Full UK Driving Licence Essential.
