We are looking for someone who is a natural leader with proven experience of leading a team of HR professionals. You must have experience of managing a significant and successful HR change programme and have held a senior specialist role within HR or Organisational Development. Experience of working within a charity or the education sector is desirable although not essential.

The Director of Human Resources is a senior executive position in the Trust.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding professional to join the Executive Leadership Team and lead the Trust’s Human Resources requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Trust’s HR Strategy including operational HR, Academy Business Partner and Recruitment
  • Leading the Trust’s team of HR and Recruitment Professionals
  • Design and development of Talent Management, Professional Development and Organisational Development including Policy
  • Leading on all negotiations with Trade Unions and Professional Associations at a regional and national level
  • Overseeing strategic staffing matters relating to a staff of over 2000
  • Managing disciplinary, capability and grievance procedures
  • Advising the Executive Team and Board of Directors on all current employment legislation and staffing matters

Graduate and C.I.P.D qualification is essential, the Trust welcomes applications from experienced and highly skilled professionals from both the education and commercial sector.

An Enhanced DBS check will also be required.
