Warners Group Publications Plc is a rapidly growing multi-million pound Publisher and Publishing Services company offering real opportunities to individuals with the right attitude, skills and ambition. Due to our continued success and expansion we need to fill the following position:

We are currently looking for a new full-time editor for The Armourer magazine to lead it through a major relaunch and beyond.

Early next year The Armourer will be redesigned and become a monthly publication that will also incorporate its sister title, Classic Arms & Militaria. The combined monthly magazine will also significantly increase in pagination as it aims to become the ultimate destination for all serious collectors of arms, militaria and sporting guns.

Ideally you will be an experienced magazine editor with a passion for history and militaria, or a writer/author who has the skills and aptitude to become an editor.

You will also be educated to degree level, however this is not essential if you can demonstrate you have the relevant qualities to lead this exciting project.

The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to The Armourer’s associated website and spin-off publications as well as represent the magazine at relevant events and auctions in the UK and abroad.

This is a newly created role due to the rapid growth of our business. The right candidate will have a great opportunity to make a real difference and develop a career with one of the UK’s fastest growing media companies.

You will be based in the offices of Warners Group Publications in Bourne, Lincolnshire, where we produce a wide variety of magazines, websites, apps and events.

Working for a thriving, family-run business has many benefits and will provide you with an attractive salary, a company pension and life assurance scheme, 26 days holiday per year, ongoing training and development, a 35-hour week, free car parking and a real career path.

The closing date for applications is December 15th, but we reserve the right to close earlier if a suitable candidate is found.
