About Medequip: Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd is a dynamic and growing company which is part of a privately owned group. Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd supplies ‘Homecare Medical Equipment’ into the community on behalf of NHS Trusts and Social Services.
The Role: To provide the highest levels of stock management to the Company standards within the service specification. To ensure that all aspects of the warehouse are maintained in a clean, orderly and efficient manner that complies with the company’s health & safety policy. This role involves heavy lifting but full training will be provided.

Key Duties:
-
Ensure that all paperwork, storage and stock counting are completed in line with the company and contract specification.

Ensure that all returned special items are processed, photographed and uploaded to the company database in a regular and timely fashion.

Follow the company goods receiving procedure and utilise the stores effectively – by ensuring appropriate areas are used to separate clean from soiled equipment and cleaned stock is returned to stores daily.

Participate in monthly stocktakes.

Have full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by your line manager.

Follow the company’s guidelines for dealing with scrap equipment disposal and to carefully follow the health and safety guidelines regarding the control of hazardous substances.

Occasionally support visits to clients homes and assist installation, delivery/collection of equipment.

Ensure correct scanner use at all times

Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations, wearing company uniform as specified.

To follow the company procedure and utilise the stores effectively – by ensuring appropriate areas are used to separate clean from soiled equipment and cleaned stock is returned to stores daily.

Ensure the timely flow of returned stock items through pre-cleaning, cleaning and workshop processes in line with Medequip protocols and procedures
Finance
-
Identify potential areas for operational savings within the ‘Medequip offer’ to ensure the contract/ client has a competitive package and Medequip cost targets are met.
Internal Contacts:

Directors, Senior Managers, Account Managers, Business Development, Human Resources, Finance, QHSE, IT, Procurement, Fleet, Operations Management, all establishment staff.
External Contacts:

Current and prospective clients, service users, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, District Nurses and other Prescribers and customers.
