JOB TITLE: Para-Planner / Trainee Financial Adviser

SALARY & BENEFITS: £20-30K depending on experience

WORKING HOURS: Full Time, 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday.

THE COMPANY: Our client, based in Thame, Oxfordshire and has been established for over 25 years and has a well respected reputation for providing independent financial advice. They are small team, looking to expand and are recruiting for a Para-Planner / Trainee Financial Adviser to join them on a full time permanent basis.

THE ROLE: For the role of Para-Planner / Trainee Financial Adviser you will be supporting the director and other advisers and being the primary point of contact for incoming customer communications. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to progress within the financial services industry through the taking of exams. Full support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities for the Para-Planner / Trainee Financial Adviser role to include:- 

• Diary management 
• Managing all customer actions on a task management system
• Meeting pack preparation; preparing agendas, obtaining up to date valuations, illustrations, letters of authority
• Preparation and issuing of final approved suitability letter to the customer 
• Issuing letters of authority to providers
• Management of work in progress of all assigned cases
• Processing switches, withdrawals, online and via my client's back office systems
• Preparation of illustrations and analytics
• Preparing a compliant CFR (Client Financial Review) for suitability reports

THE CANDIDATE: For the role of Para-Planner / Trainee Financial Adviser you will be focussed, calm and organised. You will have the ability to influence others, be positive and self motivated. You must be able to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach to your workload with excellent attention to detail. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Thame.

Key experience essential for the role of Para-Planner / Trainee Financial Adviser :- 

• Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products – Word, Excel, Outlook etc
• Knowledge of financial services desirable
• Comfortable meeting clients and business contacts on a face to face basis as well as over the telephone
