Sport Therapeutic Learning Practitioner – 285 ·         Hours– Full Time - 37.5 Hours ·         Location – Southampton SO31 ·         Salary – Band F, level 1.  £21,830 per annum F.T.E. Fairways School is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Full Time Therapeutic Learning Practitioner  to work as part of an established team. Crucial to the success of this post is an ability to work as part of a team who believe in individualised learning and an innovative approach to learning.

Fairways School delivers education to challenging young people with social, emotional and mental health needs and young people with autism between the ages of 11-19 years. The school is registered for up to 20 young people on the Swanwick School site. Due to the school expanding the school requires an additional Sport Therapeutic Learning Practitioner to work with the existing educational team. The role involves teaching young people with a wide range of abilities from Pre-entry level to GCSE.

The successful applicant will work as a Sports Therapeutic Learning Practitioner carrying out a variety of roles supporting the needs of the school on a day to day basis as well as supporting various students to engage in a variety of life and independency skills. The successful candidate will have proven experience in supporting children with social and emotional behavioural needs within an educational environment.

All applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and own their own car. All staff will undergo DBS checks at the enhanced level. The disclosure cost will be met by Fair Ways.
