This company was founded on the mission of making personalised medicine a reality by harnessing and making available the therapeutic and regenerative power of their precious stem cells to address the growing need of lifesaving stem cells transplantation.

They are a privately owned company founded in 2008 and engaged in the development of stem cell and personalised medicine technologies. The company has a strong R&D division which houses a multi-patent protected asset pipeline involving the commercialisation of biologics drug discovery, stem cell transfusion medicine applications and biomolecular diagnostics.

They are looking for a Finance Manager to join their Head Office and play a key role in supporting the business to grow.

Main Job Purpose

- Operational management of the finance department to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements, participate in financial decisions and guide department managers on long-term financial projections.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for the management of the Precious Cells International finance team, whose Key Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts and statutory accounts
- Development and management of cost-efficient financial practices and procedures
- Assistance in the development of annual company and department budgets
- Tax compliance - preparation of PAYE, VAT and Corporation tax submissions
- Supervision of staff responsible for ledgers and bank account management
- Development of ledger structure to facilitate financial analysis
- Assist in greater automation of the finance function
- Undertake other related duties as required by the Chief Financial Officer

Essential Skills
- Qualified accountant with demonstrable experience of running a finance team You will probably be a chartered accountant with demonstrable post qualification experience.
- Experience of preparation of statutory accounts, knowledge of IFRS would be helpful
- Proficient in Sage software
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent IT skills in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Ability to meet deadlines
