Role: Fund Operations Analyst

Location: London

Salary: ??35 -45k

Status: Perm

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established Wealth Management/Investment bank based in the City of London. You will be required to cover Distributer Support, Funds Oversight and Product Development.

Responsibilities for the Funds Operation Analyst Role:

  • Reconciliation of the dealing notification forms provided by our distributors to the dealing information provided by the fund administrators to assess commission requirements
  • Liaise directly with our distributors and sales team on enquiries related to new business and commission
  • Process and reconcile fortnightly initial charge payment runs for internal authorisation
  • Collate and process quarterly trail submissions, for internal authorisation, together with appropriate reconciliation, drafting of payment instructions and issuing remittance notifications to introducers
  • Liaison with the Fund Administrators on initial charge and trail activity
  • Preparation of quarterly sales-related management information
  • At all times ensure that robust written procedures and audit trail exists for all activities
  • Collation of fund information and statistics from the Fund Administrator daily
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic management information and Board reporting
  • Liaison with internal departments as appropriate relating to fund activity, eg Marketing, Sales

Skills required for the Funds Operations Analyst:

  • Experience of working in funds would be ideal
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Analytical ability to assess and process information both technically and applying fund and business/commercial experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient in all other programmes within Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of the generic regulatory environment within which funds operate, particularly UCITS
  • Self-starter - ability to work without supervision
  • Strong ability to plan, analyse, adapt and propose process improvements
  • Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills
